out of the wood
Can you tell me how much pain a woman can take?
I've woken up with a heart that won't break,
A brick in my chest, yet still I survive,
With a mole by my eye that refuses to hide.
How can a scream from a neighbor’s young child,
Once lost in the music, so innocent and wild,
Echo through the night with words so cold?
Her father, a monster, her innocence sold.
Oh, brother, she felt your cold embrace,
Your last hug, a memory hard to erase,
Now you've returned, just to strike her once more,
Leaving silence, regret, and pain at her door.
She left her old town to chase a new dream,
But little did she know, the world’s not what it seems.
Reality’s crueler than the hope she once had,
Her dreams shattered, her heart aching so bad.
Little did she know, one mistake was her fall,
The demons around her, they answered the call.
They whispered, "You're nothing, just a soul full of grief,"
A life filled with sorrow, no hope of relief.
Little did she know, the wolves all did stare,
Her love was a feast, her heart laid bare.
Sacrifices made, for a man to consume,
Her tears on the sheets, in the silence, she’d bloom.
Do you think she didn’t know, through the night she would cry?
She just accepted, as the years passed her by.
You made her walk away, bruised and alone,
A heart full of sorrow, in silence she’s grown.
Now lying beneath the stars, all calm and serene,
No more tears, no more dreams to be seen.
Her eyes have grown empty, no one left to confide,
But her beauty still shines, though her soul’s in disguise.
She’s committed to become the monster you feared,
But at what cost, when her innocence disappeared?
Oh, how much pain can a woman endure?
Her laughter from childhood is no longer pure,
The notebook of dreams now burns in the fire,
A woman transformed, from love to desire.
